After the grand triumph of Sahay Foundation’s Rabindrotsav, the hallowed season of Durga Puja draweth nigh, and lo—Kolkata’s cultural calendar awakens once more, bedecked with one of her most treasured and noble gatherings. This year, the Sahay Foundation, with heart uplifted, doth present Tabo Joygaane 2025—an eve wherein tradition, melody, and the fervour of festivity shall entwine, weaving a tapestry of rapture most unforgettable.
Pujp Gaaner Baithak — An Eve of Sacred Songs
Verily, no Durga Puja in the blessed land of Bengal is whole without those soul-stirring strains that set the very air a-quiver. This year’s Puja Gaaner Baithak shall boast a constellation of revered minstrels:
- Haimanti Shukla — A voice of legend, whose silver tones have long held mortal hearts in enchantment.
- Sraboni Sen — Mistress of melody, whose song is as the gentle monsoon upon the soul.
- Alok Raychaudhuri, Poushali Banerjee, and Shovon Ganguly — Each bearing their own hue of artistry, to conjure a night of splendour in harmonious accord.
Mahishasuramardini
For the sons and daughters of Bengal, the dawn of Puja is wed in eternal memory to the timeless Mahishasuramardini—a sacred alchemy of devotion, verse, and song. This ethereal rite shall be summoned anew upon the stage by:
Debadrito Chattopadhyay, Trisha Parui, Aritra Dasgupta, Manali Bose, and others of noble talent—through word, recitation, and melody, they shall breathe life into that dawn-born magic, stirring the heart as doth the first light upon the river’s breast.
